Join the Climate Crowd!

WWF is seeking partners for Climate Crowd to help collect information on how people are responding to extreme weather and changes in climate and how their responses affect the natural environment.

What we are looking for

We want to know what changes in weather and climate people have observed and how it has affected their daily lives. We also want to know what actions they are taking to cope with these changes and possible effects on biodiversity. Sometimes we learn that communities are unintentionally causing harm to biodiversity, but we also want to find out how communities are successfully adapting in ways that support or do little harm to nature.

Note that you might not always observe the full chain of events above, but even just a portion of this is very useful data.

Using submit a report, you can contribute several types of information:

46
Personal observations

Submit a report on your own observations following an extreme weather event or longer term climatic changes you have witnessed, how people and nature have been affected, and how people have responded. Photos are welcome and encouraged!

760
Interviews

Submit data from interviews with people in the community you live in or work with regarding their perceived changes in climate and weather, how this has affected their livelihoods, how they have responded, and how nature has been affected by their responses. Please use this survey form and be sure to read these guidelines

25
Stories

Write and contribute a story and photos conveying information in narrative form from either a personal observation or an interview you conducted. See this worksheet for some key elements of storytelling.

Once you have submitted your report, WWF will review it before posting it to the map.
